Now that my 14″ homebuilt dobsonian is settled in I’m ready to sell my 12″ flextube Skywatcher.

To be precise it is a Sky-Watcher Skyliner 300P FlexTube Dobsonian mounted Newtonian telescope.

It’s in excellent condition and comes with two very useful modifications.

A new one of these costs between £1000 and £1150 and that’s without the two improvements.

In order to find it a good home I’m asking £500.  It comes with basic 10mm and 25mm eyepieces which will get you started, and it will work well with significantly more expensive EPs.  I commonly used Baader 17mm and 8-24mm Zoom EPs.

The two modifications are a Lazy Susan azimuth bearing and an azimuth scale (see below). 

The azimuth scale is a professional print on an aluminium/rubber composite CNC’d disc.  And, the scale can be rotated for easy alignment.

To aid in setting the altitude, get hold of a digital inclinometer and attach it to the scope.  There are red LEDs illuminating the azimuth scale, and on a flying lead to shine on the inclinometer scale.
